Brock's 8th birthday!

Brock's 8th birthday was over a month ago!
It is crazy to think that my little boy is already 8 years old.

Every year I have gone all out on having Brock a birthday party, but this year I told him we were only going to have a family party. Brock was a pretty good sport about this, so I told him he could have a few friends go to Elko with us to his football game and then go to his favorite park and play. When the time came for the game and the park I came down with the nasty flu bug. Thank goodness for aunt Stephie for taking Brock to his game and letting him go to the park.
For Brock's actual birthday we had a family dinner and of course cake, ice cream , and presents!

We all had a great time celebrating Brock's birthday!

Way over due!

I am way over due for an update on our family blog!
A lot has happened in the month of August and September. At the beginning of August I was put in as the Young Women's President. I know a little scary and over whelming. Brock and I started school back up. Brock is in the 2nd grade this year. I can't believe that my baby is growing up. He is doing great in school.

Brock has also been playing flag football. He loves it! I hate that I have to drive to Elko every Saturday to watch the games, but I guess that is all part of living in a small town and being supportive of your child.

Brock also started piano lessons a few weeks ago and is seeming to like it so far.
I got a phone call from Jason a little over 3 weeks ago at 2:00am! I was a little annoyed and asked what was wrong. He proceeded to tell me very calmly that he had rolled his ankle and it was so big that they made him come to the emergency room. I was like are you kidding me! I called my mom and woke her up to come and sit with my kids while I went to the hospital. Jason talked the doctor out of making him stay home from work and writing him a prescription, so that no one lost their bonus.
Jaylee is developing the cutest little personality. Jason tells her that she is a MEAN girl just like her momma. She sure know how to throw a fit. She is into everything and can make 20 messes in 5 minutes. She is also a girlie girl. She love her shoes, jewelry, and anything she can use as a purse. She even brought polish to her dad to paint her nails one day! She sure keeps us on our toes!

The latest news is that I am expecting baby #3! I am 11 weeks along and am due May 1st. I am excited to have another baby, but not to be pregnant.
Other than that it is go go go! I will try to be better about updating on this blog more!

Camping trip!

Our next big event in July was a camping trip with Jason's family!
We left Battle Mountain at 5:30pm on Friday, July 16. We went as far as Richfield, Utah. We arrived at 1:30am and found a motel to stay the night in. We got up the next morning and went to Jorgensen's Honda to look at toy haulers and prowlers. Well we didn't just LOOK, we ended up with both. I was sick to my stomach as Jason decide to spend 45,000 dollars to go camping. I am not the biggest fan of camping, so I was thinking this was ridiculous. I did get a beach cruiser bike out of the deal, but still I wasn't feeling to good. I was being a supportive wife and I did love staying in the camper. We had to wait 5 hours for the trailer and side by side to be ready. We headed over to grandma Jorgensen's for a visit while we waited. I was so annoyed and just wanted to get to the camp site. We finally got our new house on wheels and side by side and headed to Wal Mart. We got our groceries and necessities to go camping. We then got gas  up and headed towards Elk Horn.
It took us a little over 2 hours to get to the camp site. I was so relieved to have made it. Jason was nervous pulling the trailer. We camped until Wednesday. We had a fun time riding on the side by side and hanging out with the family.
I was a little bit crazy as I followed Jaylee around with a bag of wipes the whole time. I just can't handle her being so dirty and then trying to put something in her mouth with dirty hands. I think I was a little over board, but oh well! Everyone laughed every time I walked up with my bag of wipes. We had lots of yummy food and we played games. It rained every afternoon, so that kind of sucked! Jason is the favorite uncle, so we had most of the nephews and nieces staying with us. It was crazy, but the kids had fun.
The night before we were ready to go home we played cards in our trailer and I laughed so hard at Jason's dad, Gary. Ang, Jason, and I cracked up everytime it was his turn. He would say the funniest things when he would pick the wrong card. It was great entertainment.
We took of Wednesday morning at 10:00 am and made it home that night at 10:00pm. It was the longest drive home. I did make Jason stop in Salt Lake, so that I could get so projects from the Wood Connection. He was a nervous wreck driving through the traffic on the freeway! I am surprised that we all made it home alive. I am not talking about Jason's driving, but how well we don't get along on road trips. It wasn't really too bad, but I was so glad to be back at home and in my own bed!

4th of July!

I thought that once school was out, I would have more time to blog! I don't know what my deal is but I have been on a blogging slump! I have several events to post about, so hopefully I can get caught up. I don't want to write about everything in one post, so I will post about each event separate.

I am going to start with the 4th of July. The night before we had the parade. My dad and mom took the kids in the golf cart to ride in the parade. My dad is running for county commissioner, so they decorated the golf cart and threw lots of candy.

The next morning was church. I was so bummed that all the activities were on Sunday. I spent the day at the park at my friend's booth. I had some car seat covers for sale.

That night we stuck with tradition and went to Mama's to watch the fireworks. It was crazy how many people showed up. I think we counted over 70. As always it was a great time.

A week of Chaos!

We have had a crazy week! I was able to go to the temple last Saturday to do my great grandmother's work! It was such a wonderful day and I had such a good time! My dad and I also took the kids to see Toy Story 3 in 3D! Jaylee wasn't the best, but it worked out and everyone enjoyed the show! Jason wasn't able to go with us, because he had to work! I was a little embarrassed walking around Salt Lake with my too big black eyes which cane from the big bump on my forehead! Oh well what do you do?
The kids started swimming lessons this week! Jaylee and I are doing a mom and me class! She is a little fish and loves the water. Brock is doing very well too! I forgot my camera when it was Brock's turn, but I did get some pictures of Jaylee. My sister Steph and her daughter Savannah are taking the class with Jaylee and I, so I had to include a picture of little miss Dora as well!

The other pictures of Jaylee were taken the other day as she ate her own mini box of cheese sticks! She love them, well actually she loves all food. She also loves being outside and I have to fight with her to come in the house.
Today we had gravel delivered to our house for our driveway! We had 5 loads dropped off for a total of 12 yards. Jason and I knocked three of them out before we had to go to our softball game. Well mostly Jason did the work. I helped a little and talked a lot, imagine that huh? Here is a picture of Brock and Jaylee on one of the piles!

I am bummed that the other two piles are going to have to wait for awhile, because Jason pulled him hamstring at our game tonight! Poor guy! Our team name is the BM Bashers and we decided it needs to be the BM Bruisers! We still won though, so that is a plus! Oh yeah one more thing, Jason and I went over to Elko yesterday without any kids! It was our date day and Jason bought me a new patio set! I am so excited! Now if only all the mosquitoes would leave town that would be great!

Like mother, like daughter!

Our summer break is treating us rather well! I am having so much fun spending time with the kids! We have been working in the yard, swimming, playing with friends, going to the ball park, eating lots of otter pops, and getting filthy dirty!

It hasn't all been fun and games though! Last Friday Brock was driving Jaylee around in her power wheels jeep that I scored at a yard sale for $40! Jason and I told him several times that he can't drive her around in the jeep, but that he could drive her around in his grave digger! The reason being is because Jaylee sits lower in the grave digger and is less likely to fall out!

Well I ran into the house for 1 minute, seriously no time at all, and I came back to Jaylee getting up from the driveway crying! My hands were full and I asked Brock what had happened and he said that she had fallen out of the jeep! I set my stuff down and went to pick her up and then I saw this...

Do you see the knot on her head? I felt so bad for her and Brock especially felt bad! He got into trouble for awhile and he was given the lecture on how he needs to listen and that there is a reason why we tell him the things we do!

So then fast forward to Tuesday! Jason and I play on an adult co-ed softball team. This was the first game that Jason was able to make. I was playing 1st base and this young guy on short stop through the ball to me super fast. The ball tipped the top of my glove and smacked me in the forehead. This is what it looked like 3 hours later...
The sad part is that I didn't get to finish the game and I felt so stupid! I called my mom to bring me the ointment that we had been putting on Jaylee's forehead. She told me I was a blooming idiot for staying to watch the rest of the game. My family is getting a kick out of what happened. My mom posted on face book that it looks like the softball is inside of my head and my brother and Jason send a picture to people on their phones. It was much bigger than the picture, but know it is going down. I hope it goes away soon! So as my post title says, "like mother, like daughter"!

Time to PARTY!!!!

Today is the kid's last day of school! For some reason it doesn't feel like the last day! I don't know if it the weather or what! Don't get me wrong, I am way excited to be done with this school year.  I still have one more day, but it will go by fast.  So since I am the biggest LOSER on posting on this blog!

Last week we had 5 birthday parties to attend along with Brock's last baseball game! It was a busy week!  It all kicked off on Sunday the 23rd. My best friend Sady had a Batman party for her son, Kohen! It all turned out so cute. I told her about the AMAZING cakes from Texas Monkey and so she made her cake with that idea in mind. She used Oreo cookies and yellow skittles. Here are some pictures from the party. Each of the kids had a cape made out of a black garbage bag. Jaylee was seriously cracking me up!

Here are some pictures of Brock playing baseball!

I also am including some pictures of Jaylee with her first set of Pig Tails and her wearing an adorable dress that her Grandma Annette made for her!

Everywhere we go everyone says, " oh my gosh she looks just like her Dad"!
It is true, but she has my attitude for sure.
That's all I have time to post right now, so hopefully I can get my behind in gear and post on here more regularly not that school is going to be out!

Spring Fever!!!

I am having spring fever right now! I can't stand that our weather has been changing so much.  I woke up to snow on Tuesday! Are you kidding me?  A lady here in town wrote this on her Face book status, Mother Nature must be sleeping around with Ole Man Winter. Someone should tell her he's a bad influence. I thought this was cute! I am getting so antsy for school to out. I love that we have a 4 day week, so that means even fewer days until school gets out. One thing I do not like about our school district is that we get out the Wednesday after Memorial Day! What is the point of sending the students back to school after a 4 day weekend for 2 days? Sorry I just needed to vent! Few now that is over let me tell you about what has been going on at the Jorgensen house.

Brock started baseball and has had 3 games so far. All of them have been miserable because of the wind! I am so glad to not have to watch T-ball this year.  Brock is doing really well. I haven't figured out why his coach doesn't switch up the kids positions to give them experience in several different spots, but oh well I should SHUT UP unless I want to be the coach. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut! Brock is playing third base. He loves it! When he connects with the ball he hits is very well. He has struck out twice and it breaks my heart to see him so bummed out.  I just tell him that is part of the game!
My mom took this picture of Brock, it cracks me up how he is posing!

Brock is still doing very well in school! He is at a third grade math level! The bad part about it is that they don't over him anything beyond what his class is doing.  He is so bored and he comes home asking me to work with him on his times tables.  He is also almost at a third grade level in reading! I am so proud of him!  He sure does have an attitude lately though. He always thinks he needs to have the last word when we are arguing (I wonder where he gets that from?). He always thinks he needs to play too! I have told him no playing on school days and Sunday! He still asks everyday and says, "But mom I am bored". Oh how I wish I could be bored like him!  Needless to say I can't imagine what our summer is going to look like!

Jaylee has surely developed her own little personality. She is a DRAMA queen!
This is here throwing a fit!

I can't believe what a fit she can throw and she is only 1. I think we have a long road ahead. She sure does have a contagious laugh and smile though. She brightens our days! She has become stingy with her kisses and she thinks it is so funny when you ask her for a kiss and she goes and kisses someone else and won't give you any. I am excited to say that she will sleep in her crib all through the night now! She also is walking everywhere she goes. She still losses her balance sometimes.
The other night I started the bathtub for Brock and her to take a bath. I left the bathroom to go to the other room to get something. A little while later I heard Brock laughing so hard. I went into the bathroom and saw this...

That's right, Jaylee got tired of waiting for me to come and put her in the tub. She took it upon herself to hop in herself. She didn't think it was a big deal at all. She was in there taking a bath and smiling. I was dying laughing and had to run to get the camera. What a little character she is! We love you Jay-bug!

Tomorrow Jason and I are going to Reno for our 2nd anniversary! I bought season tickets to Broadway plays last year and this is my last one. It is the Wizard of Oz! One of the other ladies that usually goes with us isn't going, so I bought her ticket from her for Jason. I was shocked when he said that he would go to it with me. Know we will see is he lets me enjoy it or if he makes remarks through the whole thing. This will be the first time that we have let Jaylee, so I am kind of nervous. I never had this problem with Brock, because being a single mother didn't give me the option. My parents used to take him during the week or weekends sometime so I could go to college or work in Reno. Brock would be 3 hours away from me for a couple days or a week at a time. It was tough, but it was very helpful for my parents to help me out. Off the soap box, sorry I just remember things and have to write them down.  Anyway I am so excited to go on a date with my husband and have some alone time. We don't get this as much as we should! I will post about our trip when I get back.

Disneyland Trip!

It has been way too long since my last post!
Last week we went to Disneyland!

Day 1-
We left on Tuesday after Jason got home from work, ok like 2 1/2 hours after he got home from work. This was 9:30pm. Yes, we are crazy! We arrived at Jason's parent's house around 2:30am. We finally hit the pillows at 3:00am.

Day2-
We woke up the next morning and got ready to head to California. I was so excited to stop at the Barstow outlets, because I had been there 3 years ago and loved them. Little did I know that most of the stores were no longer there. It pretty much sucked!
We went on this trip with Jason's brother, Jeremy and his wife, Andrea and their two boys, Tyson and Ryan. Andrea went and checked us into the motel and then we met them at the Outback for dinner. It was delicious! We then headed back to the room and went to bed.

Day3-
We woke up and went to the front lobby to catch the ride to DL. We all loaded up and I was talking to Andrea and she asked if I had everything I needed to get our "Give a Day, Get a Day tickets". I told her what I had and we figured out that I didn't have my license. I was so annoyed I hopped off to go and get it. I seriously ran to the car to get it and got back to the front of the motel to watch my ride drive away. So instead of waiting 20 minutes for the next ride, I walked to DL. I seriously booked it and made it there in time to get my tickets with the rest of my party. I had bought new shoes the day before and got a serious blister while I was speed walking to meet up with my party and I got shin splints. Anyway we were able to upgrade our tickets to a 2 day park hopper.
We spent the day riding the rides, eating, and getting autographs of the characters. Andrea and Jeremy and the boys left around 3 to go take a nap and we stuck around to hang out a bit longer. My sister Melanie came with us, because she had never been to Disneyland before. I made her go on It's a Small World and she hated it. I love it! She timed the ride and it was 18 minutes long. We ended up leaving around 6:30pm. I was like what are we doing leaving so early? I am a dye hard theme park girl. So we headed back to the motel and ended up getting Carl's Junior for dinner. Everyone went to bed early and I stayed up looking on the computer at my craft blog. I think I might have an addiction!

Day 4-
Back to Disneyland and California Adventures. We got there a little later than the day before. We were able to get on rides rather quickly. We rode rides that we didn't get to the day before and I lost Ryan and Brock in Toon Town. Jason was ahead of Melanie and I sent Brock and Ryan to catch up with him. He was headed to Pirates of the Caribbean! Mel and I turned off to the bathroom and when we got out Jason called and I asked if had the boys. He told me "No" and at first I thought he was kidding. When I figured out that he wasn't I sent him to find them at Pirates of the Caribbean! Mel and I searched through Toon Town! I called Andrea to let her know that I had lost her kid. I started panicking and I went through lines looking for them. I even started to cry! Jason ended up finding them waiting for us over where we told them to go. They didn't think they were lost at all.
We stayed a little bit longer to ride some rides and then we went back to the motel. For dinner Jeremy, Jason, Jaylee, and I went to Joe's Crab Shack. Oh it was amazing! The rest of the group went to Red Robin, but didn't want to have to wait so they settled for McDonald's.

Day 5-
We got up loaded all our stuff and headed to Ihop for Breakfast. We then headed to Alamo to hang out with Jason's family. I had a good time hanging out with my MIL, Annette and my SIL Ang on the deck while the kids played. We were able to talk while the kids got dirty and rode on Big Red. Ang ended up making everyone tacos for dinner. I love tacos and so does Jason. We continued to hang out with the fam and I agreed to let Ryan stay the night with Brock. I think I got to bed around 11:30pm.

Day 6-
We got up and Jason went to help his dad burn weeds on the ranch. I went over to Andrea's for some help on my craft blog. Then we headed back over to Gary and Annette's to let the kids play with their cousins. I started to pack stuff up and loaded the car. We said our goodbyes and left around 10:30 am. We arrived back in Battle Mountain around 3:00pm. The missionaries called and said they didn't have a dinner appointment, so we ended up feeding them.

We had a great trip! I don't need to go back anytime soon though. Thanks to Andrea she helped us get one day of free tickets by volunteering and she got our rooms for $45 a night. She scored us some great deals! I was so impressed on how well Jaylee did both in the car and at theme park.

Now we are back on our regular schedules. I can't wait til summer vacation!

Easter

I am such a slacker! I haven't even posted pictures of Easter yet and it has been a week and half. So here is my late Easter post! So the week before Easter Jaylee caught the flu and had it for a week (not the puking part the whole time the other stuff). Jason caught it on Friday and we had planned on going to Elko to get our Easter stuff! I wanted to go by myself since he was sick, but he insisted on going. Oh it was the worst trip ever! Jason puked the whole time and Jaylee had it coming out the other end! I feel bad for whoever used the Wal Mart shopping cart after Jaylee had sat in it! I didn't get to go to half the places that I wanted to and Jason complained the whole time. Why is it when men get sick they are the biggest babies? Anyway the thing that ticked me off the most was that he wouldn't let me get something to eat for dinner, because he didn't want to smell it. Boy was I irratated! This wasn't the end of the worst day! We got home and the power was out! I couldn't even cook me dinner! At this point I was beyond irritated! I was freaking out because I had lots of things to do! Luckily the power turned back on a little after 9pm and I was able to get some things done.
Where was I, oh yeah Easter! Jaylee was a lot of fun this year with the eggs. She was so cute to gather her eggs and put them in her basket! She loved the candy inside of them too! Brock was a little bummed that he didn't get the Poke Mon game for his DS that he told the Easter bunny the day before Easter! Dang Easter bunny you are suppose to have ESP! Maybe the Easter Bunny will be fired from our house! Ha, I could only wish. Brock got over the game and Jaylee just kept eating her jelly beans.
My parents house is under construction in their kitchen area right now, so I offered to host Easter dinner! It was so yummy and I think everyone had a good time, except for the fight between my sister Mel and my brother! Is it only our family that has sibling fights when there is family gatherings? It always seems to happen with my siblings. I think that we are all spoiled brats! Anyway besides that everything went good and we ended the day with a gool ol' game of cards.

Here are so Easter pics!

I hope everyone had a great Easter and enjoyed the true meaning of it! I listened to conference, does that count?

Kiddo Updates!!!

Like normal things have been busy for our family! Jaylee has had to go to the doctor twice in the last 2 weeks. First it was for an ear infection and the second time was for flu like symptoms. The doctor said that she has an abdominal infection and another ear infection! Poor little girl! It makes me so sad when she is sick and I feel like I can't do anything to help her.  On a good note she took her first steps on Tuesday! She is such a chicken, but she will get it eventually.  She is our little climber girl! She thinks that she is so funny when she climbs up onto things that she know she shouldn't.  Here are a few pictures of her doing this!

Brockhas been doing good in school! His reading blows my mind! He has turned into a FANTASTIC reader! He is getting ready to start baseball.  He still enjoys playing any electronic game and hanging out with his friends. He just can' t understand why I don't let him play everyday after school.  He is so excited that next week is our spring break and so am I.  I am still having problems with him not back talking and crying over every little thing that he gets told no for.  He thinks that he has the meanest parents in the world and he thinks that Grandma and Grandpa can fix everything. Oh well, someday he will look back and realize he didn't have it too bad! That's it for now, I am going to go and enjoy my spring break!

Jaylee's 1st birthday party!

Jaylee turned one yesterday! I can't believe by little girl is already ONE! We had her birthday party last Saturday.  The theme was CUPCAKES! Grandma Annette and Ryan were able to come for the party. I spent a few months trying to figure out what to do for the party.  Every time I went out of town I looked for cupcake things.  I had great success, because it seems that cupcakes are the fad right now! I also spent numerous hours on the computer looking for cute ideas!  It snuck up on me faster than I thought it would.  The night before the party I asked my crafting partner in crime, Sady, to come and help me get things done.  My sister Mel also came to the rescue.  We were up until 2am putting last minute decorations together and picking up my trashed craft room spare room.  Jason says I don't have a craft room, but I still call it that.  Anyway to see all the decor you can check out my craft blog here.
We had a good turn out and all the kids had a good time! I can't believe that balloons can be so entertaining, especially ones that sing! The most interesting part was when some of the kids were outside playing and they got into a bucket of car oil that Jason had not got rid of yet! I was like great we invited friends over and they leave with oily clothes, shoes, and hair! It was quite humorous to some of the parents and I am not too sure what the others were thinking!  Here are some pictures from the party!
