Our next big event in July was a camping trip with Jason's family!
We left Battle Mountain at 5:30pm on Friday, July 16. We went as far as Richfield, Utah. We arrived at 1:30am and found a motel to stay the night in. We got up the next morning and went to Jorgensen's Honda to look at toy haulers and prowlers. Well we didn't just LOOK, we ended up with both. I was sick to my stomach as Jason decide to spend 45,000 dollars to go camping. I am not the biggest fan of camping, so I was thinking this was ridiculous. I did get a beach cruiser bike out of the deal, but still I wasn't feeling to good. I was being a supportive wife and I did love staying in the camper. We had to wait 5 hours for the trailer and side by side to be ready. We headed over to grandma Jorgensen's for a visit while we waited. I was so annoyed and just wanted to get to the camp site. We finally got our new house on wheels and side by side and headed to Wal Mart. We got our groceries and necessities to go camping. We then got gas up and headed towards Elk Horn.
It took us a little over 2 hours to get to the camp site. I was so relieved to have made it. Jason was nervous pulling the trailer. We camped until Wednesday. We had a fun time riding on the side by side and hanging out with the family.
I was a little bit crazy as I followed Jaylee around with a bag of wipes the whole time. I just can't handle her being so dirty and then trying to put something in her mouth with dirty hands. I think I was a little over board, but oh well! Everyone laughed every time I walked up with my bag of wipes. We had lots of yummy food and we played games. It rained every afternoon, so that kind of sucked! Jason is the favorite uncle, so we had most of the nephews and nieces staying with us. It was crazy, but the kids had fun.
The night before we were ready to go home we played cards in our trailer and I laughed so hard at Jason's dad, Gary. Ang, Jason, and I cracked up everytime it was his turn. He would say the funniest things when he would pick the wrong card. It was great entertainment.
We took of Wednesday morning at 10:00 am and made it home that night at 10:00pm. It was the longest drive home. I did make Jason stop in Salt Lake, so that I could get so projects from the Wood Connection. He was a nervous wreck driving through the traffic on the freeway! I am surprised that we all made it home alive. I am not talking about Jason's driving, but how well we don't get along on road trips. It wasn't really too bad, but I was so glad to be back at home and in my own bed!
