Thanksgiving Adventures!

Our Thanksgiving weekend went by way too fast! Jason got off of night shifts on Wednesday morning. So I waited for him to get up before we headed to his parent's house in Alamo. Will I was being patient (which I am not good at) I made an apron to wear on Thanksgiving day and a turkey shirt for Jaylee to wear! We didn't get out of Battle Mountain until 6pm. I was very irritable and frustrated that we were leaving so late, but oh well life goes on! We arrived a little after 10pm. It was an eventful night and I didn't get much sleep.
Thanksgiving day arrived and I made deviled eggs and yams. I love yams and I wanted to make them, they turned out pretty good. After a very delicious Thanksgiving dinner we got ready to take family pictures. Of course Jason decided not to be very cooperative. He laid done to take a nap and I tried to wake him up for 30 minutes. He decided that 2 minutes before we were suppose to leave to get up. He changed his shirt and threw a hat on! I was so annoyed, but whatever we haven't had a family picture since Jaylee was born and so at this point I was just thankful that we were getting them done. The girl that took them, Lynette was amazing! I felt bad that she had to deal with such a grouchy family. She has a few of the pictures posted on her website. To see them click here . I can't wait to see the rest of them.
On Black Friday Jason and I were going to go shopping, but I decided it needed to be craft day instead. I brought stuff for my two sister in laws and my mother in law. We made countdown blocks and muffin tin count downs. They are turned out so cute! I played around on my MIL's cricket expression all day! I had a great time!
Saturday was my 27th birthday! I have decided that I am not going to have anymore birthdays! It always seems like it is the worst day of the year for me, so I am going to skip right over it from now on. We drove home on Saturday and Jason took me out for dinner while my parents watched the kids. I decided to skip church and stay home with Jaylee. I usually never ditch church, but I was so excited to get my Christmas decorations out. I didn't get much accomplished, but the tree is up and Brock and I are going to decorate it tonight.
Few...so that is how our Thanksgiving weekend went!

Oh I forgot to post some of my cute crafts I made for Thanksgivng!

What's Going On?

This past weekend my sister, Steph blessed her sweet little girl, Savannah! My grandparents from Idaho came as well as my aunt Lynn, uncle Kenny, and uncle Al. My aunt Lynn made the blessing dress and it was beautiful! I don't have any pictures on my camera, so I will have to post some when I get them from Steph.
Not last weekend but the weekend before I went to Reno to see the musical "CATS"! There are 7 co-workers and myself that have season tickets to 6 musicals. I am so excited! I took Steph, Savannah, and Jaylee with me. We went shopping and stayed the night at my aunt Juanita's house. The play was so good, except I had this lady sitting two rows behind me that thought we were at nascar or something. She would clap and scream through the whole thing at very inappropriate times. She also knew every word of the play. Everyone around her was covering their ears and glaring at her. I finally could not take it anymore and I turned around and asked her to be quite! Well she didn't hear me, because she was screaming again. This scream was not just a whoo hoo, it was a screeching hurt your ear drums screech! She was so annoying and I went and complained to the head guy after it was over, because the woman jetted out of there before I could tell her how rude of a person she was! I just can't stand people who are so inconsiderate of other people!
Well enough about the obnoxious lady! I have been crafting like crazy the past couple of weeks. My friend Sady and I have been making the cutest things. I don't have pictures of some of them, bit I will post them later. Also some of the crafts are hard to take a picture of, but here they are anyway.
Welcome board danglers (I do a new set monthly) Welcome wreath (another one done monthly)
GIVE THANKS blocks (yes another one done monthly)

This banner says,"HARVEST" it is made out of scrap booking supplies and hangs across my window. (Sorry it isn't a very good picture) I also did one that says, "AUTUMN" and "Time" and those hang across my two front living room windows.

My favorite crafts are yet to come! I need to take a picture of them. My SIL Ang gave me the idea to do a count down calender for Thanksgiving. She did all 30 days of the month and I did the 12 days of Thanksgiving! My favorite is a standing wood turkey! I will post these soon! I just want to add one last picture of Jaylee! She is getting so big!

Party Party Party!!!

The weekend before Halloween I attended a couple's dinner party. Our ward has a couple host a dinner party once a month. This month I took my friend Ashlee who is a member, but not active. Jason was working, so I decided to do a little missionary work! Our friends the Tingey's hosted the party this month. Let me give you a little background info on Sady the wife. I went to school with Sady, she is very spunky and is full of life. She is very decorative and loves going over the top! Needless to say she is hilarious and the party was so much fun! She gave out food assignments to everyone and they all were Halloween recipes.

mummy cupcakes

creepy carmel apples

Frightening fingers

Ghostly Enchiladas

My assignment was to make eyeballs from doughnut holes and white chocolate. Everyone did such a great job that I couldn't resist posting some pictures. After we ate we played charades. It was hilarious watching 2 pregnant girls act and of course Sady topped it off with trying to act like a cornucopia.

Now onto Halloween weekend! On Friday Jason and I went to a couples dance here in Battle Mountain. We dressed like an 80's couple! I am so glad that Jason was somewhat a sport about it. His idea of an 80's guy was way different from mine. Oh well at least he dressed up. We started out our date by going to dinner with the Tingey's. Josh and Jason serve in Elder's Quorum together. When we got to the dance we got pictures taken. There were some great costumes. The music wasn't the best, because the DJ likes a lot of Techno. I personally am not into techno. Jason and I did dance a little. Thanks to my mom for watching my kids. She was a trooper Jaylee didn't go to bed until 11:30pm. We picked her up about 12:20am and left Brock to sleep with grandma. I have decided after our date that we need to do it more often!
On Halloween our day was filled with a kid's party at my friend Tasha's house. She had fun Halloween treats and food for the kids. I brought the same eyeballs that I took to the couples party. The kids played games, frosted cookies, and make picture frames. After the party we walked around the neighborhood and let the kids trick or treat. Then it was off to the church to trunk or treat. It was a full day and after it was all said and done I had a very tired lady bug and football player.

Look what I can do...

Jaylee turned 7 months last Friday and I didn't have time to post. Anyway she is getting so big! On Saturday my dad started clapping at her. I tried to help her clap but she wouldn't open her hands. She just would use her closed hands to clap while I helped her. I didn't know if she was to interested in it, so I tried again on Sunday just a coupld of times. By Sunday she could do it a little by herself. Yesterday after I picked her up from the babysitter we went home and I asked her if she could clap her hands and she started clapping so good. She was so cute that I decided I better record her doing it! She is just growing up way too fast! I can't figure out how to get my video to flip sorry!

Brock's Birthday Party!

Brock's party was on Saturday. He wanted to have it at Mama's Pizza (my parents restaurant). All the kids came dressed in their Halloween costumes. I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to make cupcakes, the cake, and sugar cookies for the kids to decorate. I think I was trying to win the mother of the year award. lol. I baked all Friday night and Saturday morning. I am not doing that again! I was exhausted by the time the party was over. I will just buy it next time to save my sanity and feet! I do have to say that my cupcakes turned out adorable. Since we were having a Halloween themed party I made pumpkin cupcakes and a pumpkin cake. I had a disaster with the cake on the way to the party, it started to fall apart. What a mess, but whatever it is the thought that counts right? So about the party. Tons of kids came and they had a great time. They decorated their Halloween shaped sugar cookies, ate pizza and cheese sticks, sang Happy Birthday, Brock opened his presents, and then they got a cupcake and a goodie bag. All of this was accomplished in 1 hour! I was so excited that it was over that quickly.

Other things that happened last week was Homecoming! This years theme was Haunted Homecoming, so I dressed up for the different themes each day to go to work. I had a great time embarrassing Brock with my crazy outfits, oh yeah and Jason as well. Jaylee could care less as long as she got fed she didn't care what I looked like. I was part of the teacher's skit and lip sync. We were the Ghost Busters and it turned out really cute! I will have to find someone that took a picture so that I can post a picture.
Brock lost 2 teeth last week! He has the worst tooth fairy EVER! She forgot both times, but redeemed herself by leaving the money with me the first night to give to him and the second time he just didn't look hard enough and the money appeared underneath the other pillow!
So my SIL Andrea told me about this cute website that had little tutus and wings. Come to find out the website is Jason's friend Quinn's wife's stepmother. Did you catch that? If not oh well. I showed a few of my friends the website and they all wanted some, so I placed an order for all of us. They came in the mail last week and they are all so adorable! The best part is that they were only $9.99 for each set. I LOVE bargains! Each set included a tutu and wings and then some came with a wand, flowers, and head piece with ribbons hanging down the back. Jaylee wore one of them to Brock's party with some cute leggings. Click here to see these adorable outfits!
So as usual we are busy
busy busy! Who knows if our
lives will ever slow down.

7 years ago today...

BROCK was born! I can't believe it has already been 7 years. It has gone by so fast! Here is just a little overview of how he came into this cruel world. This is more for my benefit of having this in writing! My actual due date was on the 11th and I decided to go to the carnival that was in town to get a Carmel apple. I went with my friend Erin and we stood in line forever. Right after I got the Carmel apple I bit into it and the apple broke off of the stick and it rolled right over the top of my belly and I caught it as it fell off of my belly. I REALLY wanted that Carmel apple!

Anyway after that my friend Erin came over to my parent's house to show me pictures of an accident she had been in. She was hit by a drunk driver and her face was really messed up. I decided to look at the pictures and while I was looking at them I went into labor. It was around 10pm. Finally around 11 my mom talked me into getting in the car and letting her drive the 50 miles to the hospital. Along came my dad and Erin. When I arrived at the hospital I was only dilated to a 2! They told me that I could walk around and see if I progressed any further or else I needed to go back home. I was like you have to be kidding me, my back was going to fall off. I tried to walk around, but instead I feel to my knees from the pain. (If you don't know me I am the biggest WIMP!!!!)
So they gave me one more option and that was to take a hot shower. It was the hottest shower that I have ever takin, but it felt so good. I stood in their with pure HOT water for 20 minutes. My mom was so cute she kept checking on me to make sure that I was going to pass out. After the shower the nurse checked me and I was at a 5. When I heard the news I told them I wanted an epidural ASAP. I was the meanest woman in labor. I chucked a wash cloth and yelled at everyone. Poor Erin got left in the room with me while my family hung out in the waiting room. The worst part was that nobody told me not to drink water, and so needless to say I puked everywhere and the nurses had to change the bed with me on it, because I had already had the epidural. It was quite embarrassing! Anyway Brock Danzen Bullock was born at 6:19am on October 12, 2002. It weighed in at a whopping 9lbs. 1oz. and he was 21 inches long. That wasn't the worst part he had the biggest head measuring at 17 1/4 inches! He was not a newborn he was already a toddler!lol

Brock has been a true blessing! He has a fun personality that sometimes drives me crazy, but I wouldn't have him any other way. He loves to play sports and video games. He is the best big brother ever. He helps out with Jaylee and she adores him! I am so glad that Jason came into our lives so that Brock could have a father. It has been a change for everyone, but for the better!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROCKO!

That's What Friends Are For!!!

I am so excited! My friend Amy created this for me for her give-a- away. I have seen the different pictures like this at deseret book. I have been wanting to get them, but I think this is even better. I am going to get this picture blown up, so I can put it in my house. Just thought I would share my excitement!
