Basque Dancing

Alright, so Brock is in Basque dancing. It originated in Spain. He had a performance last month and I have never posted about it. I just got the pictures downloaded, so I want to post them. He performed at what they call the Winter Basque Dinner. They serve Basque food and then the kids did their dances. Brock is in the beginning class. It is so fun to watch him partner another girl his age. We had a good time. Here are some pictures!

So much to do!

I finally started to feel a little better on Friday. On Saturday I started to paint Jaylee's room. The base color yellow that I got was terrible, so I had to go and get a different color of paint. I usually love to paint, but it seemed like it took forever to get painted what I did. I am still not finished. The striped wall was way time consuming. I have one more color to paint tonight. I then have to wait for Jason's next day off, so that he can put the bead board up and the trim. I hope that this will take place on Wednesday. I really wanted the room done by Saturday for the baby shower. We will see what happens.
We have been living in our house for two months and I still have a lot to do. There is still trim that needs to be painted and doors. Also my spare room is a disaster. I am going to have to take time to clean it out, so that Jeremy and Andrea can stay in it this weekend. I have so much to do and not enough time to do it in.
I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. I get annoyed with how long I have to wait in the waiting room and then it only take 5 minutes for the check up. I still don't understand why places book so many people around the same time and expect everything to go alright. I would rather them not book so many people to ensure that I wouldn't have to wait so long for my appointment. Enough venting about that. I will update after my appointment.

Why me?

This weekend sucked! I have been sick since Friday. I went to the doctor today and he said that he wasn't sure what was wrong with me. He said it could be allergies or a cold. Let me tell I have had both of these and it doesn't feel like either. Also he was going o prescribe me some cold medicine and he told me to take alieve for my achy body. I looked at him and said, "I don't think I am suppose to have those when I am pregnant." He then proceeded to ask how far along I was. I told him seven months and was a little shocked that he couldn't tell. I definitely look pregnant. Anyway I am staying home again tomorrow to try and get my strength back. It sucks that I had to use 2 sick days, because as it is I don't have enough to cover my maternity leave. Oh, well I guess it will be worth it.
Enough about all the boring stuff. While I was home sick Jason decided to take Brock to Alamo with him on Saturday. This was really good for them to have some bonding time together. They are best buds now!
I was suppose to start painting the baby's room over the weekend, but that didn't happen. I am shooting for this weekend. I still have a lot to do on my house. I have lived here 2 months now and it is still not put together. It is kind of frustrating. I have made a list and hopefully it will all be done before my baby shower. Anyway I hope everyone has a great week!

TV addiction

I am so excited that so many of my reality TV shows are on right now. I love reality TV! Last Monday night my friend Tasha and I decided to have a Bachelor premiere night. I made taco soup and she made dessert. There was 5 or 6 girls there as we watched the first episode of the new Bachelor. It was so fun as we set there and picked our favorites and not so favorites. I picked one of my favorites out right away. I love Melissa! She is so cute and she seems down to earth and not so much drama. Anyway my DVR is so full of shows recording on Monday nights that I had to switch things around, so I could watch all of my shows.
This is my play list:

1. The Bachelor

2. Momma's Boys

3. Superstars of Dance

4. True Beauty

5. The Biggest Loser

6. American Idol

7. Extreme Makeover

I also have several other shows that are not reality TV shows that I watch regularly. I guess I am just making up for all the years that I spent doing homework and working instead of watching TV. I am beginning to wonder if this addiction is healthy or not? Probably no, but I am going to continue watching these addicting shows. Jason can't stand them, except the Biggest Loser, so I have to watch them when he is not around.

Anyway, enough about my TV addiction. I went to the doctor last week and everything is going great. I still feel a lot of pain and pressure on the inside of my legs and lower stomach. Oh, well it is all worth it. I had a close friend this week who was 8 months pregnant and lost her baby. They found a blood clot in her placenta and so the baby wasn't getting any food. The baby died and then she delivered her. I started to cry when I heard about all of this. I feel so bad for her and her family. I know that everything happens for a reason, it is just hard to understand why. I feel so blessed and fortunate that my pregnancy has gone so well and I hope that it continues to.
I finally decided on a crib set for Jaylee's room. I really was set on pink and brown, but then I found this set. I ordered the crib set today, so that I can get paint to match. I am going to put bead board up half way on the walls. I am going to have a striped wall and two solid walls with polka dots on them. I am going to make my polka dots out of vinyl. I hope it turns out the way that I envision it.
I wanted to get a white set, but Jason insisted that we buy a crib last week at Wal Mart after my doctor's appointment. They didn't have any white, so we got a 4 in 1 walnut crib. Now we are trying to find a changing/dresser to match, because they are all out of stock online that match the set. Oh well life goes on!

Happy New Year!

Alright, so I haven't posted in awhile because I was on Christmas break and I don't have the Internet at home yet. So I am finally posting. We had a great break! Jason was off almost the same amount of time that I was. We didn't get hardly anything accomplished on the house. I think that we are both burned out. We took a lot of naps and watched TV. We also spent lots of time playing games. I love to play games, especially card games. My parents gave me a Wii for Christmas and Jason and Brock love to play it. I have only tried out the bowling. I want to get the Wii fit, so I can lose the baby fat after she is born.
Well I went to the doctor on Christmas Eve and everything still looks good. I was bummed to find out that I have to start going every two weeks to the doctor. There was exciting news, I have only gained 12 pounds so far. I feel like I have gained 30! I was way excited when I received that news. So, it looks like Jason has won the battle and we will probably be naming our little girl, Jaylee Ann. I can't believe how much stuff I still need to do before she arrives. I am going to start decorating her room. I want to do it in brown and pink with polka dots and maybe stripes.

I hope that everyone had a great holiday season!

It's snowing AGAIN!!!

Snowy Days

I woke up this morning to 5 inches of snow. It still has not stopped snowing. I should not be complaining, because our appraiser is coming to do an appraisal on the house day. We are suppose to have our deck stained for the type of loan we are getting. So last night I prayed that the appraiser would over look the deck and my prayer was answered with 5 inches of snow. So, this morning I have to be grateful for the snow. I just hope it stops soon. I think that Brock and I will make a snowman tomorrow.

Today is my last day of school before our Christmas break starts! I am so EXCITED! I get to sleep in and stay in my pajama's as long as I want. Also I still have last minute Christmas shopping to do. Last night our ward had a cookie exchange. Everyone that participated made 4, 6, or 8 dozen cookies/goodies and how ever many dozen you made, you got to take that many dozen home of other kinds of cookies/goodies. It is perfect, because now I have everything to make up my goodie plates to take around to our friends. So, Brock and I will be delivering those this weekend. Jason is on night shifts so he won't be joining us ( I am sure he is so sad! lol).

Enough of my blabbing here are some pictures of me being festive!

It is finally up!

Well I finally put up some of my Christmas decorations! Brock was such a great little helper. Now I need to put my garland around my deck, so that the outside of my house has some holiday decorations. This weekend Brock and I are going to put together our ginger bread house. I think I usually end up doing most of the work, while Brock eats the candy.

I am not too excited for this weekend or next, because I am the Junior class advisor and I have to be at the concessions supervising. I don't know how I was talked into this position. The real down side is that we are in charge of prom and it is two weeks before my due date. That should be a fun week! Oh well, I am just going to have to deal with it and make the best of it.
Here is a picture of our tree. The picture doesn't do it any justice. I wish you could see all the little ornaments, especially the one that Ang had made of the three of us. It is so cute! Oh, well you get the picture.
